1. What slicing software does AnkerMake M5 support?

AnkerMake M5 works best with the AnkerMake Slicer software developed by AnkerMake. The software is optimized to achieve high-speed printing. In addition, only the AnkerMake Slicer supports our AI recognition feature.

For third party options, the AnkerMake M5 also supports Cura and PrusaSlicer in the future. As long as the format is gcode file, it can also print at high speed

2. What operating system should I use for AnkerMake Slicer?

AnkerMake Slicer supports macOS and Windows.

3. What file formats does AnkerMake Slicer Software support?

AnkerMake Slicer software supports STL files (BINARY & ASCII) and OBJ files

4. What are the differences between Simple Mode and Expert Mode in AnkerMake Slicer Software?

The settings of the Simple Mode and Expert Mode are mainly to serve different users groups

The printing quality of the Simple Mode and Expert Mode have been repeatedly tested and verified by the R&D personnel

AnkerMake APP

1. What operating system(s) does the AnkerMake app support?

The AnkerMake app is compatible with iOS (IOS 11 or above) and Android (Android 5.0 or above)

We support all Android devices with these resolutions:

2560×1440, 2340×1080, 2160×1080, 1920×1080, 1280×720

 

Note: Currently, we don't support iPad or Android tablets. The list of supported devices will be updated.

 
2. Does the AnkerMake app support mobile slicing?

Currently, mobile slicing is not supported. We plan to develop this feature in future updates.

3. Is AI recognition supported without a network connection?

Yes, the AI recognition feature operates locally. Even if the AnkerMake M5 is not connected to the Internet, AI recognition still identifies the print. But no error notification will be sent to APP and slicer

4. What is the AI function?

The AI function can identify most of the printing failures (Such as the first layer of non-stick, spaghetti, plug air punching, split layer printing) during the printing process, in order to store the information for future prints. This can help customers improve printing efficiency and reduce material waste.

 

5. How many people can I share M5 with at most?

You may have only one host for an AnkerMake M5 and can share it with 2 people at most. Also, you can choose the sharing permission:

  • Basic permissions(View the status and printing progress of the device)
  • Control permissions (Control the printer, Start/Pause/Stop printing task, Modify printing parameters)
  • Camera permissions (View online video,Time-lapse video)
 

6. How many M5 can be added to the App?

No more than 99 AnkerMake M5
 

7. How many minutes between the AI detection and the APP notification

Usually, it will be within 10 minutes. The larger the printing area of each layer of the model, the longer it will take to find the error;
