Introducing the Cleaning Modes and Logic of the X10 Pro Omni

Modified on: Fri, 29 Nov, 2024 at 12:07 PM

Robotic vacuums have revolutionized the way we upkeep our living spaces. With advanced technology, these smart devices offer various cleaning modes and settings to cater to different cleaning needs. This article is designed to introduce the cleaning modes and basic logic of the X10 Pro Omni including Smart mode, vacuum/mop functionality, suction power, water level control, mopping route, and Edge-Hugging Mopping mode.

Smart Mode and Customize Mode

Users can select between two primary operation modes:

  • Smart Mode: The robotic vacuum automatically identifies the type of room, pet areas, and carpet zones to intelligently adjust its cleaning settings for optimal performance.
  • Customize Mode: Users can customize the cleaning intensity, vacuum/mop settings, suction power, water level, and Edge-Hugging Mopping mode of the robotic vacuum.

Cleaning Intensity Levels

  1. Fast: The robotic vacuum cleans the main cleaning path without edge cleaning. It is generally suitable for a quick, simple cleaning session.
  2. Standard: The robot cleans along the edges first, followed by the main cleaning path, which is ideal for everyday cleaning to upkeep the floors.
  3. Deep: The robot starts with edge cleaning and then follows a tighter cleaning route for a thorough cleaning, which increases the duration of the cleaning cycle.

Vacuum/Mop Settings

Users can choose between integrated Vacuum and Mop, Vacuum Only, or Mop Only modes to suit their specific cleaning needs.

Suction Power

The suction power of the robotic vacuum can be adjusted according to the amount of dirt and debris on the floor.

Water Level for Mopping

The water level for the mopping process has three different levels to ensure the mops are adequately moistened throughout the cleaning cycle.

Edge-Hugging Mopping Mode

By activating the Edge-Hugging Mopping mode, the robotic vacuum rotates the mops to effectively clean along walls and corners, reducing blind spots and ensuring a thorough cleaning result. This mode extends the cleaning time due to its meticulous approach.

Impact on Battery Life

It is important to note that certain modes, such as the Edge-Hugging Mopping mode and Deep Cleaning Intensity mode, can affect the robot's battery life. These modes require the robot to perform more intricate movements and cover areas more thoroughly, which can lead to increased water and battery consumption. As a result, users may experience a reduction in the total cleaning area covered on a single water tank fill due to the more frequent use of water to maintain the mops' cleanliness and a more complex cleaning route.

In summary, the X10 Pro Omni offers a wide range of customizable settings to accommodate various cleaning needs. Whether you prefer a quick touch-up or a deep clean, the X10 Pro Omni can be tailored to provide the desired level of cleanliness while considering the impact on battery life and water usage.
