What is the Two-Factor Authentication feature for the eufy Baby app?

Modified on: Fri, 15 Nov, 2024 at 11:05 AM

The eufy Baby app’s Two-Factor Authentication feature is designed to further protect your account from any potential unauthorized access.

If you would like to enable the Two-Factor Authentication feature, simply launch the eufy Baby app > tap the Me button > tap your Profile > select Two-factor authentication > select the Turn On button to confirm it.

After the Two-Factor Authentication feature is enabled, a trusted device will need to be added. Once a trusted device has been added, it will no longer require a verification code when you sign in to the eufy Baby app on the trusted device. However, a verification code will be required when you sign in to the eufy Baby app on another smartphone or tablet.

Verification Code

  • A verification code is sent to your account’s registered email by default. You do also have an option to register your mobile phone number to receive a verification code via text message.
  • A verification code is a six-digit code.
  • Each verification code will be valid for five minutes before it expires.
  • If multiple verification codes are requested, you can still use any of the received verification codes within five minutes from the time you receive the code.

Trusted Devices

  • A trusted device will not be required to enter a verification code to sign in to the eufy Baby app.
  • If you sign in using a smartphone or tablet that has not been added to the list of your trusted devices, a verification code will be required.
  • If you have not signed in for over 30 days, a verification code will be required.
  • Please note that the list of trusted devices can only be configured on your smartphone’s eufy Baby app.

What happens if I disable the Two-Factor Authentication feature?

  • The previously saved phone number and trusted devices will be permanently removed from your eufy Baby account.
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the eufy Baby app on your smartphone does not affect the two-factor authentication setting or the list of trusted devices.
  • Deleting your eufy Baby account will automatically disable the Two-Factor Authentication feature and permanently remove your saved phone number and trusted devices.
